The Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation is the foundation coursework for other designations, licenses, and certifications. The program is designed primarily for members whose main business activity is residential real estate, and it helps those members increase their knowledge and skills in a wide range of technical subjects and real estate fundamentals.

In Louisiana, the hours of instruction are broken down into a specific set of courses required to complete the GRI designation. To obtain a GRI designation, students are required to earn a total of twelve (12) GRI credits. This is a total of 96 hours of instruction covering subjects including Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Customer & Client Services, Cultural Diversity, Risk Management, Contract Law, Technology, and Professional Standards.

Students working to earn the GRI have up to five (5) years to fulfill the necessary requirements.

The online GRI platform replaces X-Selleration.
